Career Speakers Day at Eliot

On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, Jared Eliot Middle School grade eight students listened to and absorbed the vital information the following career speakers presented:
  • ·       Mr. Charles Bernier- a licensed electrician, owner of Acorn-Bernier Electric
  • ·       Ms. Lindsay Fink- a chemical/nuclear engineer at a nuclear power plant
  • ·       Mr. Thomas Galuardi- a retired science and math teacher, spoke of his other career in auto racing.
  • ·       Dr. Theodore Hartenstein- a physician at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford
  • ·       Mrs. Erica Hill-Yount- co-anchor of the NBC Weekend “Today Show”
  • ·       Mrs. Maryann O’Donnell- Assistant Superintendent, Clinton Public Schools
  • ·       Mr. Christopher Mantzaris- a Senior Creative Director at ESPN
  • ·       Ms. Julie Stagis- a journalist with The Hartford Courant

The speakers represented various career clusters and provided a wealth of information and guidance.
