We have a celebrity in our midst. As many of the UCONN graduates may be aware, the Neag School of Education Alumni Society is very active in the state supporting UCONN graduates. As part of their ongoing support and promotion of educational excellence they sponsor a series of Outstanding Educator Awards. The award is based on contributions to the profession and community and they seek out exemplar educators that truly serve as role models for their colleagues.

I am extremely delighted and privileged to announce that Claudia Norman has been selected for this prestigious award and has been named the 2012 Neag Outstanding School Administrator.

This recognition is richly deserved and reflects the work that Claudia has done here in Clinton as well as the contributions the Joel Staff has made in the ongoing quest for educational excellence. On behalf of my fellow administrative colleagues and the Board of Education.  Congratulations to Mrs. Norman and thanks to her for the leadership role she has played in the Clinton Public Schools.
