Students shared their art, music, hearts, and donations with area charitable groups in honor of 100th Day Celebration at Joel.  The charitable groups included Meals on Wheels, Forgotten Felines, Little Miracles (agency for single moms and babies), Soldiers (the students made cards with Hershey kisses on them), Families Helping Families, A Place Called Hope (bird rescue), the school nurse (undies, socks, etc. to help our own students), and the Shoreline Soup Kitchen.  All classes try to collect 100 or more of various items (cat food, baby items, food items, etc.) for their charity.  The event starts on the 100th day of school and ended on March 2nd with the celebration.  The music teachers taught all the children three great songs as well.  This a wonderful example of our students giving back to the community and learning lessons about helping others.
