Love is Louder

Our Clinton community is launching a “26 Acts of Kindness” campaign in honor of our neighbors in the Sandy Hook community. From March through May, all citizens of Clinton, young and old alike, are challenged to do 26 Acts of Kindness, one in honor of each innocent life lost in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Spearheaded by The Morgan School media center specialist Shannon Robinson, and supported by Partners in Community, The Pretty Committee, and the Clinton PTA, this challenge will not only unite us as a community, but will surely make our corner of the world a better place.

T-shirts are available for purchase to reflect your participation and support for the project, but primarily it will be a function of the little things. We are not asking that participants spend money; the main intent is to honor these lives and support their community. Our hope is to shout to the world, “Love Is Louder”! Clinton will not wait to be brought together by tragedy; we will stand up and do wonderful things for each other, to see more smiling faces, to provide hope and unity.

There will be a bulletin board at The Morgan School and other locations in town where those participating are asked to post their acts on a kindness log for children or teens and adults throughout the three months. This visual acknowledgement will inspire others to participate and keep the momentum building. The project will culminate at Clinton the PiCnic behind Town Hall following the Memorial Day Parade. Clinton, as it celebrates it's 350th anniversary, is spotlighting all that is good in our town and a positive outlook for our united future. From the youngest to the oldest, from the busiest to the loneliest, from the richest to the poorest, we , Clinton will accomplish as many Acts of Kindness as possible. This we dedicate to the Sandy Hook community. Take note – Love is Louder.
