The Clinton Education Foundation-Lions Golf Classic is an annual tournament established to help raise funds to support the work of the Clinton Education Foundation and the Lions Club.  The Clinton Education Foundation was established approximately 10 years ago and has as its mission “to enhance public school education” in Clinton, CT.  The Lions Club is the largest service organization in the world.  The Clinton Lions participate in a wide variety of service projects for the Clinton community. The Lions Club hosts an annual pancake breakfast to raise funds for "Families Helping Families" and the Clinton food pantry, participates in vision programs such as eyeglass recycling and vision screening.  The collaboration of these two civic organizations benefits many in the local community.

Funds from the golf tournament will create education opportunities for students in Clinton to attend activities such as sports camps, music lessons, study abroad programs, or national leadership conferences.

Teachers are also awarded grants for supplies or activities not funded by the education budget.  Teachers have used the grants for athletic equipment, field trips, sending students to conferences, supplies for the classroom, and electronic equipment for their classrooms to enhance student’s educational experiences. Additional scholarships are awarded by the Lions Club to local students who have served the community.

Thank you for looking!  The teachers, students and all members of the Clinton community appreciate your support.
