Long-Range Facilities Study

Board of Education Facilities Study Review & Strategic Planning 2018

On March 26, 2018, a joint meeting with members of the Budget & Finance Subcommittee and the Buildings & Grounds Subcommittee was held.  This meeting included a discussion of programming needs, a review of projected enrollment trends, an overview of the current facilities, and an outline of the process and timeline for the work of the Board related to school facility decisions.  Please click here to view the presentation.

This assessment was conducted as part of the Clinton Public Schools Capital Planning and involved a comprehensive evaluation of K-8 facilities, as well as implications for facility use related to enrollment projections.  The Board selected Drummey Rosane Anderson Inc. ("DRA") to develop the Long-Range Facilities Assessment Study.  DRA had already conducted building evaluations prior to meeting with town residents at the community workshops.  They met with school staff to conduct programming and educational planning meetings throughout Fall 2013.  The first public workshop focussed on gathering community input.  DRA held subsequent community workshops to identify possible alternatives for the facilities plan and then shaped specific recommendations for Board of Education consideration.

The final results of the study are listed below.
