Reopening Schools 2020

Clinton Public Schools Reopening Plan 2020-2021

Students in Class

The Clinton Public Schools will be opening the 2020-2021 school year in a 2-Phase Transition Plan.  Phase 1 will consist of approximately five weeks of learning utilizing the hybrid model.  Students will be cohorted into two groups.  Group A will include students with last names A-K and will attend school in-person on Monday and Tuesday and engage in distance learning on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Group B will include students with last names L-Z and will engage in distance learning on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and attend school in-person on Thursday and Friday.  The exact date for the transition to Phase 2, which will consist of full, in-person learning, will be determined based on current public health metrics related to transmission rates in Connecticut and in our local community, as well as the successful implementation of mitigation strategies such as mask wearing, cohorting, social distancing, and cleaning protocols.

Feedback has been incorporated into various communications and parent forums in an effort to address parent concerns and questions.  If you still have specific questions, please submit your correspondence to the email addresses listed below.  While a district email has been set up for overall feedback, we encourage you to submit more specific feedback to the appropriate school.
