  • Clinton Public Schools is pleased to make our school buildings and grounds available to community organizations and local groups when they are not in use for district programs.

Before submitting a building usage request form, please review our standard facility use conditions:

    • Liability & Insurance: Applicants assume full legal liability for injuries or damages and must provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the district as an additional insured ($1,000,000 minimum limit for non-athletic events; $2,000,000 for athletic events). Applicants are responsible for repairing or replacing any damaged property or equipment.

    • Contracts & Fees: Upon confirmation, a formal contract will be issued outlining all fees and expectations. A $300 deposit and the signed contract must be submitted within 45 days of the scheduled event.

    • Staffing & Supervision: At least one district custodian must be present during all events. Children must be directly supervised by adults at all times.

    • Safety & Event Logistics: Events over 50 people require separate notification to the Clinton Police Department at least one week prior to the event. Buildings open 30 minutes before an event and close 30 minutes after, with all activities ending by 9:30 PM unless extended approval is granted. Cancellations require at least two days' notice.

    • Campus Rules: Smoking, vaping, and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited anywhere on school grounds or in facilities. Refreshments may not be sold or served without prior written permission from the building administrator. Please note that school district events take priority over all external rentals.

Please review the complete Rental Terms and Conditions prior to submitting a request.  Please direct any facilities rental inquiries to Madelyn Kostek, mkostek@clintonpublic.net or call (860) 664-6540.

  • Legislation requires that the district utilize the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Tools for Schools Program to inspect and evaluate indoor air quality within all school buildings.  These results must be posted on the district’s website, publicly shared with the board of education at a regular meeting, and submitted to the Department of Administrative Services.

The required inspection was conducted at each school and evaluated using the following EPA checklists:

    • Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Checklist
    • Food Service Checklist
    • Integrated Pest Management Checklist
    • Walkthrough Inspection Checklist
    • Waste Management Checklist
    • Ventilation Checklist

Ventilation checklists were completed by the district's HVAC vendor, GR Wade, LLC for each unit/area at each school.  The completion of other checklists were completed by a team of dedicated school staff.
