The school health program is governed by medical standing orders and School Health Policies approved by the School Medical Advisor, the Board of Education, and the school district Administration. The School Health Offices are operated by a cadre of registered nurses and Health Office aides. The nurse and/or health aide are scheduled to be in the health office from start to the end of school each day.

A student wishing to see the nurse must first obtain a pass from his/her teacher at the middle and high school. At the elementary level the teacher must call the Health Office at 1176.
