Morgan Weekly Blast 9/25/2026

If your student will be absent from school, arriving late, or leaving early, please contact the main office to update their attendance.

In an effort to ensure the safety of all, Morgan visitors are required to scan a valid driver's license or state/country-issued ID at the kiosk in the entry and receive a visitor's badge prior to entering the main office. Those arriving without the required identification may experience a delay of entry.

Congratulations to Alex Vece for being named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program!  This award is given to students who earned a high score on the PSAT and demonstrate outstanding potential for academic success.  Congratulations, Alex!

This week The Morgan School community participated in "Start With Hello" week.  "Start With Hello" is a youth program started by Sandy Hook Promise that teaches students how to prevent social isolation and foster inclusion by taking the simple first step of greeting and connecting with others. We had a spirit week that started off with "Meet and Greet Monday" where students started the day by picking up a name tag and putting their name and a fun fact on it. This was a way to make starting conversations a little easier and a lot of fun! The other spirit days encouraged unity and connection. Both staff and students did a great job participating!

Leadership in athletics isn't always about being the loudest voice or having the title of captain. Sometimes it looks like being the first person to encourage a teammate, holding yourself accountable, helping a younger athlete, staying positive when things don't go as planned, or doing the right thing when nobody's watching.

Our team captains and student-athletes have an important opportunity to shape the culture of their teams. This season, we are celebrating the Huskies who are stepping forward as leaders and recognizing that leadership is something everyone can demonstrate. Our fall team captains recently came together for our Captains Council, creating an opportunity for student leaders from across our athletic programs to connect, share ideas, discuss leadership, and think intentionally about how they can positively influence their teams and teammates.

The goal isn't simply to have leaders on our teams—it is to help every student understand that they have the ability to positively influence the people around them.
