Manufacturing Day at The Morgan School
October is National Manufacturing Month. Did you know that there are over 4000+ manufacturers right here in Connecticut, all of whom are looking for a steady and qualified workforce. A career in manufacturing offers good paying jobs and opportunities for advancement. OnĀ Friday, October 9th, The Morgan School will welcome several regional manufactures and manufacturing programs to speak with our student body during their lunch waves. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to explore potential careers and see how courses offered at Morgan can help to prepare them for their futures.Ā

PSATĀ
The freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will take the PSAT on October 14. Students can begin preparing for this test by taking some practice tests and reading more about the PSATĀ here.Ā

Future Path
We are looking for volunteer speakers to talk with students about careers in a variety of fields. If you or someone you know is interested in presenting, reach out to Karyn O’Beirn atĀ kobeirn@clintonpublic.net.Ā

Sports This Week

🐾 Husky Athletics Spotlight: It Takes a Husky Pack

When you arrive at a Morgan athletic event, the focus is naturally on the athletes competing. But there is an entire team working behind the scenes to make each practice, game, and competition possible. Coaches prepare, athletic trainers care for our athletes, transportation gets teams where they need to go, facilities staff prepare our spaces, event staff manage the details, and officials help make competition possible.

Athletics truly takes a community. Each person plays an important role in creating opportunities for our students to compete, grow, and represent Morgan. This week, we recognize all of the people—seen and unseen—who help make Morgan Athletics happen. Their work may not always be in the spotlight, but our students' experiences would not be possible without them.
