In & Out of the Classroom

World History

To conclude our unit on the Renaissance and Reformation, Honors World History students in Ms. Shook's class explored the Yale Art Gallery in New Haven. Students analyzed Renaissance art from their collection and compared it to paintings we learned about in class. Students also explored many of the other galleries including African, Asian and Modern Art.

Journalism

Students in the Period F and G Journalism classes recently traveled to Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) for the 40th Annual High School Journalism Day conference. Throughout the day, student reporters attended hands-on workshops and breakout sessions led by media professionals and university faculty. Sessions included topics such as Standing Against High School Censorship, The Craft of Quoting: The Art of Writing It Like It’s Said, Sports Reporting in the 21st Century, AI Myths and Facts, and Covering Hate.

Check out student coverage, feature stories, and latest articles by visiting our student news website at The Morgan PawPrint.

Spanish

Enrique Carvalho - Dotor and his mom have brought the Day of the Dead celebration to Morgan. A beautiful, “ofrenda,” that honors and remembers our loved ones who have died has been set up to be enjoyed by all. An incredible opportunity for us to learn about Mexican culture and tradition.
