COVID-19 has required communities and school districts to monitor public health data and the impacts of positive cases on each of our schools.
- Notification of positive cases to the school community occurs following contact tracing and when contact tracing results in a need to quarantine students or staff members.
- Additional positive cases in the schools that do not warrant a notification letter are included in the weekly totals listed in the summary table.
- Students and staff weekly total positive case numbers represent the combined number of weekly cases in each school in order to abide by privacy guidelines.
- The data that is used to support decision-making regarding the school Learning Models (In-Person, Hybrid, or Remote) includes the positive cases in each of our schools, as well as the county and local health metrics and trending. This information is evaluated weekly with our local health department and is supported by the guidance provided by DPH and the State Department of Education.
